Kementerian Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia membeberkan kondisi warga negara Indonesia (WNI) di daerah terdampak gempa di
Jepang
.
Jepang kembali diguncang gempa dangkal berkekuatan magnitudo 7,1 di Prefektur Kumamoto sebelah selatan Pulau Kyushu pada Selasa (28/7). Gempa tersebut menewaskan sedikitnya 13 orang dan meruntuhkan sejumlah bangunan seperti pabrik dan pusat perbelanjaan sebagian.

Kemlu melalui Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Jepang menyatakan telah menghubungi simpul komunitas WNI yang berada di wilayah Kumamoto dan Kyushu.
“Sejauh ini, belum terdapat laporan terkait WNI yang terdampak gempa di kedua wilayah tersebut. Seluruhnya dilaporkan dalam kondisi aman,” demikian pernyataan Kemlu RI melalui rilis yang diterima Contact Hikaku Indonesia, Rabu (29/7).
“KBRI Tokyo juga telah mengimbau agar seluruh WNI di wilayah akreditasi untuk tetap tenang dan terus memantau informasi resmi mengenai perkembangan situasi melalui Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA),” lanjut pernyataan tersebut.
Peringatan ancaman tsunami usai gempa dan sejumlah gempa susulan juga telah dijabut oleh otoritas Jepang.
“Kemlu melalui KBRI Tokyo akan terus memantau perkembangan situasi, serta berkoordinasi dengan otoritas Jepang dan simpul komunitas WNI di wilayah Kumamoto serta Kyusu,” pungkas pernyataan Kemlu RI.
Kementerian Pertahanan Jepang mengatakan militer mengerahkan 3.600 personel untuk operasi bantuan bencana dan mengirim 20 pesawat untuk menilai kerusakan dari udara.
Ratusan petugas tanggap darurat dari prefektur tetangga tiba di daerah yang terkena dampak pada Selasa malam.
JMA memperingatkan bahwa daerah-daerah dengan gempa terkuat akan tetap berisiko mengalami gempa kuat dan tanah longsor lebih lanjut selama sekitar satu minggu karena gempa dangkal tersebut memicu aktivitas seismik di daerah tersebut.
